Charitable giving is a key principle for the local Knights of Columbus. Each year the 60-member Revelstoke Knights of Columbus participate in selling tickets in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus (BC) Charity Foundation.

Proceeds of the tickets sold locally are then returned to the Revelstoke Knights of Columbus and distributed to local charity groups. While distribution of this year’s funds have not been determined previous recipients have included the Revelstoke Cancer Support Group, Revelstoke Women’s Shelter, Revelstoke Senior Drive program (transporting seniors for out of town medical appointments), Community Connections Food Bank, Revelstoke Minor Hockey, Revelstoke Community Band, and a high school bursary.

The annual charity appeal campaign is a licensed lottery with vehicles and cash prizes raffled by the sale of tickets throughout BC. The campaign includes both an Early Bird Draw and Main Draw. This year’s winner for the Early Bird Draw was Revelstoke resident Sheryl Wolgram.
