It’s the Revelstoke season-ender weekend! Check out what’s happening April 19-21
Squeeze those last few laps in, head on into town and celebrate the move into warmer temperatures with a tropical mix of Ska, reggae, and acoustic folk music. Check out this weekend’s events below.
FRIDAY, APRIL 19: Average Gypsy at The River City Pub, 9 p.m.

Expect nothing less than hypnotic basslines, hip-hop classics, UK-inspired garage and trap from this high-energy, Vancouver based DJ duo. The team describes themselves as having “boundless spirited energy” – the kind of energy that could be needed after a long day of skiing! This is a no cover event and there will be a shuttle service available.

FRIDAY, APRIL 19: Eric Larocque Live at Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery, 8 p.m.

After such a positive reaction from his last visit earlier this year, Eric Larocque is back in town to make his mark once more. The Golden-based musician will be playing an intimate live set this Friday night that will be sure to add a little sweetness to your cocktail. His recipe? A mix of soft rock and folk, with a hint of country. Doors open at 8 p.m.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20: Season Ender 420 Party with Redeye Empire at The River City Pub, 10 p.m.
Born and bred on the West Coast of Canada, the Redeye Empire boys are in town to show us how to celebrate 420 in style. The band have been captivating audiences around North America for the past five years, with their unique blend of reggae, ska, rock and hip-hop. The show starts at 10 p.m. and it’ll be sure to get busy. There will be shuttle service available.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20: Ricky Diamond at Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery, 8 p.m.
Back by popular demand, this Saturday Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery will be hosting comedian Ricky Diamond, to help you laugh and drink away your post-season blues! Remember to get there early to secure a good seat. The event will kick off at 8 p.m.

SUNDAY, APRIL 21: Trashion Show Fundraiser at The Revelstoke Royal Canadian Legion, 3 p.m.

Unwanted garbage, junk, outdated and unused items are given a new purpose in Birch & Lace’s annual Trashion Show. Expect to see over twelve unique entries, a silent auction, basket draws of goodies and more. This year, the location has been updated to the Revelstoke Royal Canadian Legion (in the parking lot). Tickets are available downtown at Birch & Lace for $15, or via a $20 donation at the door. Come on down from 3-6 p.m. to show your support.

SUNDAY, APRIL 21: Sunday Sessions at The River City Pub, 7 p.m.

As part of an on-running series, Sunday Sessions will return once more this weekend with host, Jesse Booth. This week, Booth and Morgan Toutant will be kicking things off as they perform as The Northern Sons from 7-8:15 p.m. Rhian McKernan will be closing out the night from 8:15 to 9 p.m.
The event will run from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will feature various musicians performing quality live music. With no cover charge, what better way to spend a Sunday evening?
