Grizzlies lose 5-0 to Wranglers, face do or die weekend

The Revelstoke Grizzlies’ six-game winning streak came to an end on Monday afternoon when the Wranglers blanked them 5-0 in 100 Mile House.

On paper the Grizzlies competed, earning more shots (28-22) and slightly fewer penalty minutes. But in the category that matters – putting the puck in the net – the Grizz came up empty.

The loss puts the 100 Mile House Wranglers out of reach with 55 points to Revelstoke’s 51, since 100 Mile House leads on the tiebreaker regular season wins.

However, Sicamous has slipped to within reach, sitting at 52 points.

Both Revelstoke and Sicamous play their final two games each this upcoming weekend.
Revelstoke takes on the Kamloops Storm at home on Friday at 7 p.m. and then face the Chase Heat Saturday at 7 p.m., again at the Forum.
