Revelstoke pro skier Leah Evans will host 20 aspiring female skiers under 20 at Revelstoke Mountain Resort this weekend during a non-profit camp designed to connect youth with role models.
The free 20 Under 20 program provides the young skiers an opportunity to learn about skiing, life and social media awareness at the weekend camp.
In an interview with the Revelstoke Mountaineer, Evans said it’s about being able to connect the youth with mentors.

“It’s nice to have someone that age connect with a role model,” she said. “We create a space where if we want to learn something we’re there, or if they want to have fun they can too.”
Revelstoke skier Izzy Lynch will be along for the event, and the pair will share tips for social media success.
“We’ll talk about how we made things happen. You can create your own media now. You can get someone to pick up a camera and film you,” Evans said.
RMR general manager Rob Elliott said the free event was an opportunity for the resort to give back: “Here at Revelstoke Mountain Resort we are always excited to support programs that encourage ski development. This camp is a great opportunity for the next generation of female freeskiers to learn from some of the best in the business and experience our world class terrain at the same time.”
