After an impressive tenure at the City of Revelstoke, more than 20 years, the city’s director of finance Graham Inglis will retire.

A job ad for his role has been posted on the city’s website and Inglis will work part-time until the end of October, tying up loose ends.

The city’s chief administrative officer Allan Chabot said Inglis has provided outstanding financial leadership to the community and city.

“I think he’s been an exemplary finance director,” he said. “He [Inglis] has served this community extremely well with integrity, and has provided a lot of well-considered advice for staff and council over the years, and deserves a great deal of thanks for his dedicated service.”

Chabot believes the city’s financial situation is strong.

“We’re able to fund the services that the community wants, we live within our means,” he said.
