Update: 11:40 a.m.

DriveBC is reporting the highway between Revelstoke and Golden has re-opened as of 11:38 a.m. Drivers should expect heavy delays due to traffic congestion.

A vehicle crash at Heather Hill has closed the Trans-Canada Highway in both directions between Revelstoke and Golden on Saturday, Aug. 25.

RCMP are currently on the scene conducting an investigation. An eye witness contacted the Mountaineer saying 13 people critically injured in the collision, however this information has yet to be verified.

DriveBC is reporting the estimated time of opening is 11 a.m. Visit drivebc.ca for more information.
