City announces closure of all Revelstoke parks

City of Revelstoke to close all public parks starting on March 21.

The City of Revelstoke has announced it is closing all Revelstoke parks.

In a March 20 statement, the city says the closure of Kovach Park, Queen Elizabeth Park and Centennial Park is meant to help improve social distancing measures.

The closure comes into effect on the morning of Saturday, March 21.

“How I behave affects your health, how you behave affects my health;we are all in this together. We ask that the community adheres to these closures and that the orders be taken seriously,” said Mayor Gary Sulz in a statement.
