A Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH) heliskiing guest who stayed at the Regent Inn in Revelstoke from March 11–16 has since tested positive for COVID-19.
CMH spokesperson Salina Riemer contacted Revelstoke Mountaineer with the news.
CMH operates out of several backcountry lodges in the Revelstoke area, but their CMH Revelstoke operation is based out of the Regent Hotel in downtown Revelstoke.
Riemer said the company had just learned of the confirmation on the afternoon of March 20 and was reaching out to let people know.
She said that CMH has been in touch with the B.C. Centre for Disease Control and was starting the process of contact tracing with them.
Riemer said CMH didn’t have information on dates and locations of any public venues the guest had visited, but that she would provide follow-up information if it became available.
There has been one confirmed COVID-19 case in Revelstoke, and another heliskier, a guest with Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing, also tested positive after leaving Revelstoke and returning home. Details on that second heliskiing COVID-19 case here:
