Brief: Smash and grabs from vehicles today in Revy

Vehicles broken into in the Big Eddy and on Westside Road while the owners were out for a walk.

The Revelstoke RCMP issued a warning early Friday afternoon about two smash and grabs from vehicles today in Revelstoke.

One of the incidents happened near the bridges over the Columbia River on the Big Eddy side, the other on Westside Road. The vehicle owners had been out for a dog walk or hike, then returned to find their window smashed and some items missing.

In one incident, a window was smashed and only a few dollars in change was stolen. The vehicles were locked.

The RCMP issued a warning to the public out of concern that there will be more incidents today.
