Brief: Sledder injured in Friday night crash on Boulder Mountain
Fort St. John man injured in fall into creek bed on Boulder Mountain Friday night.
A sledder from Fort St. John was rescued by Revelstoke Search & Rescue then treated in Queen Victoria Hospital after a mishap on Boulder Mountain Friday evening.
The authorities got the call around 8:45 p.m. on Mar. 3.
In an emailed media release, Revelstoke RCMP said the 51-year-old man was riding on a trail when he rode off the side just before a bridge. He fell about 20 feet before landing on the creek bed below, managing to avoid landing in the water. Little more description was provided.
Members of his snowmobiling party assisted him and gave first aid until they were relieved by a Revelstoke Search & Rescue team accompanied by two paramedics.
The man was transported in a side-by-side vehicle and sent to the Revelstoke hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life threatening.
