Brief: Revelstoke Nordic skiers take the podium at the 2018 Ski Nationals

Revelstoke club impresses with a number of competitors finishing in the Top 30.

Revelstoke’s young Nordic skiers are crushing it at the 2018 Ski Nationals at Lappe Nordic near Thunder Bay, Ont.

Alana Brittin took first place during the interval start event, finishing in just under 16 minutes. Fellow Revelstoke skier Beth Granstrom took second place in the event, while Elizabeth Elliot finished in sixth place, and Kate Granstrom skied her way to an eighth place finish.

“Over all our racers I talked to were happy with how they raced and they stacked up well against the nation’s best,” Bruce Granstrom wrote in a post on the Revelstoke Nordic Ski Racers Facebook page. “[…]B.C. had a very strong showing today and our little club has gotten some attention with the number of top 30 finishers we had today.”

A total of 12 athletes from the Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club are participating in the 2018 Ski Nationals, which wrap up on March 17. You can keep up with the results here.
