The staff at the library would like to express our deep gratitude to our patrons for holding on to returns for so long, and being patient with us as we prepare to resume some services.

We will reopen the book drops this week — please see the schedule below. This schedule will allow us to quarantine books for 72 hours — necessary for safe handling by staff. If you have a LOT of returns, please consider bringing them in batches so that our bins don’t get overwhelmed. Please read posted signs and follow directions.

Book drops schedule

Saturday, May 23, 10–5; Tuesday, May 26, 1-8 ; Saturday, May 30, 10–5.

June 2 opening details

On Tuesday, June 2, the library will be open for curbside holds pick ups during our regular hours: Monday: CLOSED; Tuesday: 1 p.m.–8 p.m.; Wednesday: 1–8 p.m. Thursday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday: 10 a.m.– 5 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; Sunday: CLOSED. The book drops will be open 24/7 starting on June 2nd.

Please note that only one of the book return slots will be open. Please use the slot indicated: this will support our quarantine process, and help our staff stay safe. You will be able to place holds through the catalogue again soon. When you get a notice that your holds are available for pick up, please call the library and let staff know that you are coming. Make sure you have your ID with you: staff will check your ID, check your books out and bag them, then place them outside for you to pick up.

Please respect social distancing when interacting with staff and waiting in line to pick up your holds. Our branch phone line will not be available for reference questions because we will be using it to communicate with patrons who are picking up holds, but if you have questions or need help placing holds there are many options:

-Email us at the branch:

-Email the ORL virtual help desk:

-Use the online chat utility on our website, available Monday to Saturday, 9–5.

-Call 1-844-649-8127 also available Monday to Saturday, 9–5.

Please note that your books should not have accrued fines while we are closed. If they have, please contact the library through any of the above options and we will sort it out for you. If your account is blocked for ANY reason please contact the library and we will get it going for you again. We are looking forward to seeing all of you again, and are working towards the day when we can open our doors to the public again. We are so very grateful for your patience and cooperation.
