The Revelstoke Grizzlies have pulled ahead 2-0 in their best-of-seven KIJHL  Okanagan/Shuswap Conference final series versus the Kelowna Chiefs.

The Grizzlies won both games on the road versus the regular-season conference champs. Games three and four take place at the Revelstoke Forum on Friday, Mar. 22 and Saturday, Mar. 23.

The Grizzlies won 3-2 on Tuesday night, then 6-3 on Wednesday.

The two road wins are huge for the Grizzlies. Although the Grizzlies were dominant this season, finishing with 85 points, the Kelowna Chiefs had a better regular-season record, finishing with 88 points, atop the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference.

The Chiefs’ star player Brody Dale topped the league in regular-season points, and now also leads the playoffs race with 24 points.

Currently, defenseman Ullar Wiatzka leads the Grizzlies in the individual points race with 14, meaning he’s 11th overall in postseason play.

Currently, the Grizzlies are 10 wins and zero losses in the postseason.

Both games have been much closer than the Grizzlies’ past series. Expect a full house at the Forum on Friday.
