Brief: Revelstoke COVID-19 vaccination appointments now open to all residents 18-plus

Revelstoke residents aged 18-plus can now register for a COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

All Revelstoke residents aged 18-plus can now book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine.

The change came into effect on April 6.

There are several booking options, including online or by telephone at 1-833-838-2323.

An Interior Health spokesperson told Revelstoke Mountaineer that, “for community specific clinics, it’s quicker to call the provincial number to book an appointment.”

On April 1, the B.C. government announced a “community specific” clinic system for Revelstoke, meaning vaccination clinics have been accelerated here. Initially starting April 1, the system allowed those 50-plus and Aboriginal people 18-plus to register. That has now been extended to all residents 18-plus.

The Interior Health COVID-19 vaccine information website that Interior Health previously referred residents to for age requirements now no longer lists ages, but states “community specific.” This means those 18-plus can now register.
