Brief: One dead in morning MVI on Trans-Canada Highway west of Revelstoke
Revelstoke RCMP say a three-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Revelstoke claimed the life of a young man.
A 20-year-old man has died following a three-vehicle MVI on the Trans-Canada Highway just west of Revelstoke on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Police said they received a call for assistance at about 5:40 a.m.
They say the deceased man was driving a Pontiac eastbound when he attempted to pass a commercial vehicle and collided head-on with a westbound Honda. The Pontiac then struck the commercial vehicle he was passing.
The driver of the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two occupants of the Honda were injured and taken to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the commercial vehicle was not injured.
