Revelstoke is getting into the spirit of giving thanks to a festive donation campaign run by Cheers Liquor Store.

Monday marked the beginning of Cheers Liquor Store’s 12 Days of Giving, an annual tradition by the local business to raise funds and collect gift card donations from other local businesses for Community Connections Revelstoke.

This year, through customer donations, Cheers was able to raise $2031.35 for the organization, which Cheers owner Brady Beruschi then matched to reach a grand total of $4062.70.

The Days of Giving will continue until the end of next week, on Christmas Eve. So far, the business has announced gift card donations from The Annex, Style Trend Clothiers, Big Mountain Kitchen & Linens, Fable Books Parlour, Ocean Peak Designs, Revelstoke Sugar Shack, Revelstoke Powder Rentals, and Animal House Pet Store. Cheers matched each gift card donation by donating gift cards from the same businesses for the same amounts to Community Connections.
