Brief: Calgary man dies while snowmobiling on Boulder Mountain

BC Coroners Service says it is in the early stages of its investigation

A man from Calgary died while snowmobiling on Boulder Mountain last Saturday.

The BC Coroners Service is currently investigating the incident which took place in Sugar Bowl at Boulder Mountain. Revelstoke Search and Rescue responded to the incident.

BC Coroners Service Spokesperson Andy Watson said the investigation is still in the early stages. Watson said the man, who was in his 50s, was snowmobiling at the time of his death. Watson said there is no indication at this time that an avalanche occurred during the incident, based on the limited information currently available to the BC Coroners Service.
