Arts Revelstoke welcomes audiences back to the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre this fall.
Arts Revelstoke has announced its lineup for the fall REVY.Live series, featuring visiting and local performing artists who will be taking to the stage at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre. Read more for details on the shows here:
Arts Revelstoke is beyond excited to bring back live shows to the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre this fall. Riding on the wake of our successful Guerrilla Gigs concerts over the summer we have some cool indie bands lined up, along with local talent, a smattering of comedy and some stunning films. The changing times mean we are launching our fall shows first in our new-look colourful brochure reflecting our updated Arts Revelstoke REVY.Live performance series brand. The unique design can be unfolded and displayed on your fridge so you never forget a show! In January we will launch our winter season so watch this space for some spectacular big shows in the new year.

REVY.Live kicks off with the awesome Carmanah, a six-piece indie band from Vancouver Island. Carmanah were original lined up to play LUNA 2020, and will charm audiences with their laid-back BC vibe, catchy lyrics, searing melodies and warm enveloping sound. Carmanah made a name for themselves touring BC in a van fueled by vegetable oil playing concerts with an environmental message, quickly becoming role models for BC youth and advocates for climate action. Warming up the night for Carmanah we have local favourite Al Lee sharing some tunes from his latest album, and newcomers Beyond the Pond, an indie duo from England whose authentic sound and raw talent will blow you away.

In November we have a Welcome Week special, Kootenay darlings, and indie-pop sensations Shred Kelly. Local band The Groovineers will get the evening going with some up-beat tunes.

Our limited capacity means lots of space to dance in your seats, this concert is set to sell out fast, so grab your tickets soon. In December we have a show designed get you in the Christmas spirit. Funny, subversive and down-right silly, God is a Scottish Drag Queen: Christmas Special, will feature two sets by the BC award-winning, stand-up comic Mike Delamont.

Kiki the Eco Elf is our fall Family Series offering to kids. Decked out in a green wig, stripy tights, and a tutu, Kiki gets kids singing and dancing to simple tunes with a feel good message – be nice to the Earth! Tickets are priced to be family friendly with adults at $10 and kids at just $5, don’t miss this fun and interactive show.
Movies in the Mountains is back with live screenings of some of the best films from the indie scene which never made it to Revelstoke. Summer of Soul feels like a music documentary for our times, as it shines a light on the long forgotten 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival which celebrated African American music and promoted Black pride featuring legendary black musicians. Nomadland also grapples with contemporary issues, starring Francis McDormand as a woman in her sixties who embarks on a journey through the American West living as a van-dwelling modern-day nomad after losing everything in the Great Recession.
This fall in line with provincial health guidelines we will be operating at 50% capacity which means only 140 tickets are available for each show and a vaccine passport is required for all events. For our audience this means lots of space and an exclusive private concert feel, each group will have an empty seat on either side of them.
Head to artsrevelstoke.com to purchase tickets, print them out or show them on your phone along with your COVID passport and ID for admission. All ticket sales are online, adults are $20 and kids under 12 are $10, designed to be affordable for everyone.
