An MVI has closed the Trans-Canada Highway about 15 kilometres east of Rogers Pass on the afternoon of Thursday, July 22.

There are few details confirmed details about the incident.

DriveBC first reported the incident at around 4:20 p.m.

CLOSED – #BCHwy1 Due to a vehicle incident approximately 15km east of the Rogers Pass Summit. No estimated time of reopening, no detour available. Next update at 5:00 PM PDT.

At a scheduled update just after 5 p.m., DriveBC provided no estimated re-opening time, but said it would update again at 6:30 p.m.
