Revelstoke Reflections winners announced

The Revelstoke Arts Council has announced the winners of the Revelstoke Reflections contest.

The winning entries were announced on June 15, during the Arts Council’s online annual general meeting.

The main prize winners took home $250, while there was a $150 award for the winning youth entry, $50 for the winning child entry and two $125 prizes for honourable mentions in the visual arts category.

In total, 17 local artists shared their creative talents through the online platform created through a partnership between the Revelstoke Arts Council and the Revelstoke Mountaineer. Here are the winning entries:

Visual Arts Category

Winner – Claire Sieber, Sifting (pictured above)

Honourable mention – Jess Leahy, Anemone Colouring Page

Anemone Colouring Page by Jess Leahy received an honourable mention in the Visual Arts category.

Honourable mention – Mulgi, Hopeless Longing II

Mulgi’s Hopeless Longing II also took home an honourable mention in the Visual Arts category.

Media Arts category

Winner – Remi Goguen, Follow the Sun

Follow the Sun by Remi Goguen.

Tactile Arts category

Winner – Penelope, Tranquility

Tranquility by Penelope.

Youth category

Winner – Lizzy McDowell, Escape Room

Escape Room, Lizzie McDowell.

Child category

Winner – Maya Bolinbroke, The Planet of Corona

The Planet of Corona, Maya Bolingbroke.

Writing category

Winner – Laura Stovel, book review of Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall
