Multi-vehicle MVI closes Trans-Canada Highway east of Revelstoke, opening estimate Tuesday morning
A serious MVI has drawn a full response east of Revelstoke and closed the highway from the afternoon until estimated after midnight
Update: 7:01 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
DriveBC has pushed its estimated reopening time back to Tuesday morning at 1:30 a.m. PST. The highway is closed between Revelstoke and Golden.

The Trans-Canada Highway is closed east of Revelstoke after an MVI in the Albert Canyon area early Monday afternoon.
CLOSED – #BCHwy1 approx. 18 km East of #Revelstoke due to a vehicle incident. Assessment in progress, expect heavy delays and congestion. Detour unavailable. #AlbertCanyon

According to DriveBC, the incident happened a location about 18 kilometres east of Revelstoke.
Currently, DriveBC is assessing the situation and estimates the road will reopen at 9:30 p.m.
