Revelstoke Community Foundation celebrates community projects

The Revelstoke Community Foundation awarded 16 community groups with over $38,000 in funding for community projects in Revelstoke at an April 23 ceremony.

This is the 15th round of funding since the Revelstoke Community Foundation started the community funding program.

Projects include nutrition programs for seniors, palliative care training, fruit gleaning projects, environmental education programming, support for women’s programs, support for a circus camp, and support for a museum photo archive project, amongst many more.

In addition to these grants, the RCF will award over $20,000 in scholarships and bursaries to graduating high school students later this year.

At a presentation at the Best Western Hotel, RCF board member Kevin Bollefer said the foundation is interested in hearing from more community groups. “We are actively trying to pursue raising our profile in the community,” he said.
