GUITARS! celebrates one of the world’s best known instruments

The Revelstoke Jazz Club performance features talented Shuswap and area guitarists.

The Revelstoke Jazz Club will be hosting a six-string extravaganza on Friday, Feb. 15.

GUITARS! is an indulgent celebration of the world’s coolest instrument, inspired by the multitude of incredible guitarists who live in the Shuswap and surrounding area.

Curated by Jake Verburg and Jordan Dick, GUITARS delves deep into the musical personalities of four unique guitarists and the music that inspires them to play. Past concerts have seen them pay tribute to jazz giants like Django Reinhardt and Wes Montgomery as well as rock icons Jimi Hendrix, and The Beatles.

The evening features Verburg and Dick, along with Dan Smith and Blair Shier on guitars and Gareth Seys on drums.

GUITARS! takes place at the Jazz Club (located in the Selkirk Room at the Regent Hotel) on Friday, Feb. 15. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music runs from 7:30–9:30 p.m. Admission is by donation.
