Hallmark to transform downtown Revelstoke for new film

Film crews for The Trouble with Christmas will be in town Sept 23 to 28.

Hallmark is once again using Revelstoke as the backdrop for one of its films. Film crews will be in Revelstoke starting this Sunday, Sept. 23 to begin working on Hallmark’s latest movie, The Trouble with Christmas. Filming will wrap on Friday, Sept. 28.

According to a notice sent out by the city of Revelstoke work hours will generally be from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Keep your eyes open for movie stars and work crews setting up scenes. Some areas throughout town will be temporarily closed for parking during the week.

Here is a complete list of parking closures:

September 24th

– Fourth Street East from Orton Avenue to Mackenzie Avenue

– Orton Avenue from Fourth Street East to laneway

September 25th

-300 block of Mackenzie Avenue both sides of the street

-Boyle Avenue from Second Street to First Street from 7a.m. –12p.m. only

– Second Street from Campbell Avenue to 410 Second Street from 7a.m –12 p.m. only

September 26th

¨- 300 block of Mackenzie Avenue both sides of the street

September 27th

¨- 200 block of Mackenzie Avenue East side of the street

September 27th

¨ -100 block Columbia Park Drive South side
