Applications being accepted for Community Initiatives Program

Get your applications ready for upcoming Columbia Basin Trust Community Initiatives funding.

The Columbia Basin Trust’s Community Initiatives and Affected Areas Program is accepting applications as of Monday, Jan. 22. The Columbia Basin Trust, the City of Revelstoke, and CSRD Electoral Area B are all accepting applications.

“The CIP/AAP programs are designed to help address the needs of Basin communities”, said Mayor Mark McKee in a statement. “The programs incorporate community-based funding decisions to better meet local priorities.”

Applications and program information are available on the City of Revelstoke website. The application due date is March 9, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. with the public presentation evening scheduled for April 3rd, at 7 p.m. at the Revelstoke Community Centre.

The City of Revelstoke and Columbia Basin Trust have collaborated to create an easy to use application form that follows the CBT grant application process. This year all applications will be submitted electronically in an effort to create easy access and standardization of the program.

“The Corporate Administration department is excited to administrate the CBT CIP which includes some changes in criteria and a streamlined electronic application process. We strive to make the application process more convenient for users and look forward to working with CBT, the CSRD and the community to continue the success of this important program,” said Dawn Low, director of corporate administration.
