Toddler dies after being struck by truck in Big Eddy neighbourhood
Revelstoke RCMP say the incident was a tragic accident and have ruled out foul play.
A 15-month-old toddler has been killed after being struck by a truck in Revelstoke’s Big Eddy neighbourhood on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Revelstoke RCMP spokesperson Staff-Sgt. Kurt Grabinsky said the incident happened around 1 p.m. in an industrial area of the Big Eddy. Police were notified by the victim’s parents, who located the girl.
Police have ruled out foul play and say the incident was a tragic accident.
In a statement, Revelstoke RCMP said that many responders attended the scene, including the British Columbia Ambulance Service, Revelstoke Police-based Victim Service, Revelstoke General Duty RCMP, RCMP Trans-Canada East Traffic Services and the RCMP Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstructionist Service
The British Columbia Coroner Service will be conducting the remainder of the investigation.
