Go for a hike with local MP Wayne Stetski

Member of Parliament and NDP National Parks critic Wayne Stetski will be out and about for a hike in Mount Revelstoke National Park on July 6, and he wants you to come.

“Connecting with those I represent, and connecting with nature are my priorities now that Parliament is on recess, and this event combines both,” Stetski said.

The annual family friendly event will be held at the Soren Sorensen Trails in Mount Revelstoke National Park. Everyone is invited to meet at 10 a.m. at the trailhead, which is accessed from the Meadows to the Sky Parkway.

“This is an opportunity to make some new friends, to let me know what your priorities are, and to get outside and get a little exercise,” Stetski said. “I really enjoy hearing from those I represent and spending time enjoying the beauty of Kootenay-Columbia.”

Trail info:  The Soren Sorensen Trails can be done as a 2km (apporox. 30 min) or 5km (approx. 90min) loop through interior rainforest.  The trail is classified as “easy” with some elevation change.
