Police say they pulled over a late model Sienna minivan at about 1:25 a.m. after an officer noticed it not maintaining its lane.
Their reason for the stop was to conduct a sobriety check, police said.
The driver was found not to be impaired, but was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance.
Police found over 100 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle in vacuum-sealed bags that were contained in large duffel bags. Police estimate its worth at $350,000.
The man also had $8,600 in cash.
A 42-year-old man from Coquitlam was released on recognizance and is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and another charge related to proceeds of crime.
He is due in Revelstoke Provincial Court on September 7, 2016.
