Forestry museum to open new viewpoint this Friday with big kickoff event
The B.C. Interior Forestry Museum & Discovery Centre has an opening ceremony for their new viewpoint this Friday. There will be lots of activities. Details here.
The fourth annual Timber Days Friday Night Kick Off event is happen this Friday, May 19.
The location is once again the BC Interior Forestry Museum just before the Revelstoke Dam on Highway 23 North.
Museum Director Glenn Westrup said with the support of the Revelstoke Credit Union we have been able to organize a huge family program of entertainment running from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m.
There will be free horse and carriage rides, popcorn, live music by Jessie Booth, burgers by the Big Eddy food truck, pro logger demos, a bonfire and a kids’ logger relay race.
At 6 p.m. the official opening of the Forestry Museum’s new viewpoint will be attended by our new local MLA Doug Clovechok and local Councillor Scott Duke
