
British Columbia RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating a person of interest in a suspicious death outside Radium, B.C.
On May 6, the body of 35-year-old Brenda Ware was found along Highway 93 in Kootenay National Park, 54 kilometers northeast of Radium.

Philip Toner is a person of interest in the RCMP investigation. His whereabouts are currently unknown, however, he has ties to Alberta and British Columbia.
Toner is described as a 5’11” Caucasian male weighing about 190 pounds with balding brown hair.
Although Ware and Toner knew each other, their relationship is not being disclosed by RCMP at the time.
Ware was traveling from Didsbury, Alta. to Kootenay National Park when her body was found.
The RCMP warns not to approach Toner, instead call 9-1-1 in the case of an encounter.
Anyone with information on Toner’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Southeast Division Major Crime Unit at 1-877-987-8477.
UPDATE: On May 12, RCMP arrested the person of interest in Ware’s death.
