Grab your townies for a day of climate change action and pedal-powered transportation celebration.

We’re excited to announce the very first #cycleforsolstice. This Saturday, June 20, we encourage you to use your bike pedals instead of gas pedals as your means of commuting this summer solstice. Whether running errands in town, pedaling out to trail-heads, or just getting from Point A to B, choosing to ride bikes instead of driving is a great way to take action against climate change.

Track your day’s ride mileage on Strava by joining POW Revelstoke’s Strava club. We’ll use all of the tracked rides to estimate our total mileage on bikes instead of vehicles to see how much carbon emissions we can offset in one day.

Drop by our booth at the LFI Farmers Market down at Centennial Park, where you can enter your name for a draw prize for biking to the market.

You can also win prizes by sharing photos and videos of you ride using #cycleforsolstice and @bikerevelstoke. Find more event info here.
