Stigma, isolation increase risk of drug overdose in rural communities
In early May, a B.C. Solicitor General report listed the Arrow Lakes, a largely rural area south of Revelstoke, as having one of the highest rates of illicit drug toxicity deaths in the province between 2018 and March 2020. The Mountaineer checked in with stakeholders to find out what’s happening.
