The Revelstoke Mountaineer is seeking contributors for our growing community news, outdoors, lifestyles and entertainment website.

Do you want to share your passion with the community of Revelstoke? You can access our thousands of weekly users by signing up as a contributor.

When thinking about Revelstoke local media coverage, do you ever ask yourself, ‘Why don’t they do a story about __________?’ Revelstoke creates many great stories everyday, but the Revelstoke Mountaineer doesn’t have the resources to tell them all. That’s where you come in.

Have you been handed the communication portfolio for a community organization, and are looking to communicate directly with Revelstoke? We can help.

Contributors get a username and password to the easy-to-use Revelstoke Mountaineer platform and can post directly to the website, reaching hundreds of Revelstokians each day, and thousands per week.

We welcome all forms of contributions — video, photos, text, design, multimedia, and social media, for example. Our team is here to help you put your best foot forward — we provide technical and editing support to improve your contributions, and make sure everything’s perfect before it’s posted.

So, I get access to thousands of Revelstokians each week through an easy-to-use platform? What’s the catch?

Well, there are a few. The Revelstoke Mountaineer aims to cultivate original, high-quality content. First and foremost in our minds is our audience. We want to reward our readers each time they access one of our posts by delivering great stuff. We are story oriented — including video, photos, text, design, multimedia, and social media — and are based in journalism principles.

Producing great content means working together with our team to develop your stories so they are the best they can be, and get as many views as possible.

How do I get started? The Revelstoke Mountaineer hosts open editorial meetings on Mondays at noon hour at our office in the Revelstoke Coworking space at 101A Second Street West (upstairs above Royal LePage). Please attend one of our meetings and guide our community coverage. Or email info@revelstokemountaineer.com.

Interested? See you at noon-hour on June 1, 8 or 15 for our open editorial meetings, or email info@revelstokemountianeer.com.
