Revelstoke’s 34th annual Moonlight Madness returns this Friday, November 27 with merchants keeping their doors open late and offering great deals to kick off the holiday shopping season.
It’s the biggest sale of the year in Revelstoke, and brings out hundreds and hundreds of shoppers searching for great bargains for the season.
This year, the event is a great chance to scoop up heavily discounted snow equipment the night before Revelstoke Mountain Resort opens. Look for heavy discounts on last years’ product, and deals you likely won’t see again until February on new stock. Outdoor enthusiasts be sure to check out Eagle Pass Heliskiing, Free Spirit Sports, Revy Outdoors, Skookum Cycle & Ski, and Wearabouts.
The snow’s finally here, and you need new winter clothes — so why not get them at big discounts? From boots to gloves to jackets to base layers like woolies and lingerie, there is lots on offer. Participating shops include Bette’s Underthings & Clothing, Daspy Fashions, Selkirk Graphics, Wearabouts, Universal Footwear, and Style Trend Clothiers.
You know when’s the best time to get on top of Christmas shopping? Now, before the parties start, and while everything is on sale. All participating shops will have lots of great gift ideas, including core gift shops like Beyond Gifts, Big Mountain Kithcen & Linen, Home Hardware, People’s Drug Mart and Pharmasave.
Make a list and be prepared, because the great deals are here for one day only. Most participating shops are open for the special sale from noon to 10 p.m.
And that’s not all — most retailers pull out the stops and offer special sidewalk offers, treats, inducements, samples and more — it’s a real festive environment.
There will be gift wrapping by donation at the Revelstoke Mountain CoLab space, above Royal LePage at 101A Second Street East. Look for ‘Avalanche Canada’ on the door and go upstairs. Proceeds benefit the Revelstoke skatepark fund.
And if you need to entertain the kids during the event, the Revelstoke Community Centre his hosting a swim & a movie event for 5–12 year olds. Pre-register by calling 250-837-9351. $15.
