Update: missing person located deceased
Revelstoke RCMP issued a press release on Thursday, July 21, 2022, stating that the missing person, Benjamin Beaver, was located deceased near Mountain Road in Revelstoke on July 20.
Revelstoke RCMP says they were alerted by B.C. Ambulance that a non-responsive man was found by pedestrians. Police arrived on the scene, confirming with ambulance personnel that the man was deceased. The man was later identified as Benjamin Beaver, the Revelstoke man reported missing on July 19, 2022.
“The Revelstoke RCMP continues to complete follow up investigational steps into this occurrence,” said Sergeant Chris Dodds of the Revelstoke RCMP in the release. “The file has been referred to the BC Coroners Service, and currently criminality [is] not suspected.”

The Revelstoke RCMP has released a report requesting that the public be on the lookout for Benjamin Beaver, a missing person last known to be at the Sutton Place Hotel.
Beaver was last seen at the Sutton Place Hotel at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Police were notified by the missing person’s employer that he called in sick for work on the morning of July 19, 2022, and, when contacted, was acting out of character. The employer told police that they are concerned for Beaver’s wellbeing.
Police say Beaver’s vehicle was located parked at the hotel, but that they are unable to locate the 36-year-old man.
The Revelstoke RCMP is requesting that the public report any sights or interactions with Benjamin Beaver.
