Beginners Acrylic Workshop | With Exhibiting Artist Shirley Liu

Join the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre for our Beginners Acrylic Workshop with exhibiting artist Shirley Liu! This workshop is perfect for those who are new to acrylic painting or want to brush up on their skills. We’ll explore the potential of acrylic medium and fundamental painting knowledge like color theory, values, composition and more. Shirley will also share her takes on what is essential and what rules can be broken in acrylic painting.

Throughout the workshop, you’ll paint a still life and a landscape, allowing you to practice your new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. You’ll leave the workshop with a better understanding of the versatility of acrylics and the mentality that there’s no right or wrong when expressing yourself creatively.
