Downtown Walking Tours @ Revelstoke Museum & Archives

Meet at the Museum for a 1 hour walking tour through Revelstoke’s historic downtown. While you are enjoying the tour, try our building scavenger hunt. The walks are fine for all ages, but please keep in mind that there is a lot of talking, and younger children may find it boring! $8 per person (or less with a punch-card). Free for children 12 and under.

‘Practicing meditation on a regular basis is like wiping the dust from a mirror every day. In a clean mirror you can see yourself clearly. Similarly, in the clean mind the Self is seen.’ Baba Hari Dass

Learn to empty the mind to come back to Self. Through easy and accessible practices known as Sadhana or spiritual practice, you’ll be guided in various Pranayama (breathing techniques), Pratyahara (withdrawing the mind from the senses), Dharana (one-pointedness) and Dhyana (deep concentration) exercises. No experience required and all are welcome.

Heritage Cemetery Tours @ Revelstoke Museum & Archives

Join museum curator Cathy English for a guided tour of Revelstoke’s historic Mountain View Cemetery. The tour takes about 1.5 hours and explores the history of the cemetery and the stories of Revelstoke pioneers. Meet at the cemetery gates or call the museum for a ride. $8 or less with a punch-card. Children are welcome to attend with their parents, but please be aware that there is some adult content. Please dress appropriately for the weather, and be prepared to encounter mosquitoes!

Revelstoke Farm & Craft Market @ Grizzly Plaza

Revelstoke’s market is the place to be on Saturday mornings! Downtown’s Grizzly Plaza, surrounded by heritage buildings interspersed with views of snow covered peaks, comes alive with colourful awnings, crowds of people, and a vibrant market atmosphere. You’ll find lots of fresh local fruits and vegetables ; eggs; local honey; baking; preserves; locally-made crafts; unique metal and woodworks; knitting; fresh flowers; food vendors and much more.

Canada Day Parade @ Downtown Revelstoke

Join the citizens, businesses and organizations of Revelstoke and come on out to enjoy the Canada Day Parade on Monday, July 1. Parade start time is 12:00 pm at the Courthouse, judging and marshalling at 11:30am. Kids join us at Grizzly Plaza at 11:00am, decorate your bike or scooter and join in the parade! Final date to enter a float is Wednesday, June 26. Contact prc@revelstoke.ca for more information.
