FortisBC does not anticipate any disruption to home propane heating gas delivery in Revelstoke following the November storms that destroyed highways and railways in B.C.

Revelstoke’s home heating gas system is not connected to a main gas line. Instead, gas is transported into a loading and holding tank system located in the industrial park.

In response to an inquiry from, a FortisBC spokesperson said the gas utility sources its propane from the east, so there is no disruption to delivery anticipated.

“As of today, we do not anticipate any disruptions to the delivery of propane and propane service to the community of Revelstoke,” the spokesperson said.
